Hi and thanks for logging in for this weeks fish report. Fishing has stabilized and most boats are catching 2-3 salmon per day, when sitting in key locations.

Hope you’re having a great Memorial weekend, and I’m, looking forward to seeing you on the river. Remember, after the first you can keep all wild salmon, so give me a call st 541-425-1515 and I’ll see what I can do about getting you some great tasting salmon for your dinner table.

Hello fishing enthusiasts, and thanks for logging in for the fish report. Fishing was slow there for awhile after the last fish report, but the recent rainfall has really brought up the number of Rogue River salmon catches.

There are a large number of wild fish being caught right now, so book your trips right away, because starting June 1, all wild salmon can be kept! If you would like to book a trip, call 541-425-1515 to make a memory of a lifetime.

Rogue River Fish Report – May 15, 2011

May 15, 2011 | By

Hi and thanks for logging in. Fishing on the river is extremely slow. There’s a lot of fish being taken out of ocean that are thin clipped Rogue River springers, so they should be up here shortly. The sooner the better for us.

I’m sure the run isn’t over.  Every year we have a small lull in May, but it picks back up towards the end of the month and the in first few weeks in June.

I had an opportunity to stay at Gold Beach Inn this week. I found it very nice, clean and comfortable and extremely reasonable on the price.

With rain expected for the next three days, the river should be just about perfect by the end of this week and the beginning of the next. So if you’re thinking about fishing for Spring Chinook salmon, you better give us a call at 541-425-1515.

Fishing Report for Sunday, May 1, 2011

May 2, 2011 | By

Thanks for logging in for this week’s fish report. This week’s report is coming to you from Tonya – I work behind the scenes and post John’s weekly fish report. This last Sunday my husband, kids and I had the opportunity to go fishing with John. He picked us up at 8:30am and we headed to the previous day’s hot spot, a place John had been holding since 4:45 am that morning.

Despite John’s best efforts, we didn’t get a bite all day. There were 27 boats on the river, with the most productive boat of the day landing three salmon. The weather was beautiful, and even though we didn’t get any action, we did get to spend some quality time with the kids.

The rest of the week looked much better, with 14 of the best eating Spring Chinook salmon landed.
