Rogue River Fish Report – May 15, 2011

Hi and thanks for logging in. Fishing on the river is extremely slow. There’s a lot of fish being taken out of ocean that are thin clipped Rogue River springers, so they should be up here shortly. The sooner the better for us.

I’m sure the run isn’t over.  Every year we have a small lull in May, but it picks back up towards the end of the month and the in first few weeks in June.

I had an opportunity to stay at Gold Beach Inn this week. I found it very nice, clean and comfortable and extremely reasonable on the price.

With rain expected for the next three days, the river should be just about perfect by the end of this week and the beginning of the next. So if you’re thinking about fishing for Spring Chinook salmon, you better give us a call at 541-425-1515.
