Good Fishing and Catching the Big Ones – Love Catching Those Springers!

June 30, 2012 | By

These springers are so much fun. Wish you where here to share it with us. We are still hooking 3 to 4 fish a day and the whether service tells me the water temperature should stay cool enough that the fish should bite good. Would love to put you in to a couple of big ones like these so give me a call and we will see what we can do for you.  Give me a call at (541) 425-1515.

Springers on the Rouge

It’s a Great Time to Catch Springers on the Rogue

June 9, 2012 | By

The water is right, just a bit discolored from the last couple of storms, and the fishing are in the 4 – 5 foot water depth.  This morning we hooked and caught three springers, two hatchery and one wild.  They weighed in from 15lb to 25+lbs, bright silver with sea lice still on them.  One had drag marks from a seal across his back.  Catching primarily on green on green spinner baits, although other boats were also seeing good action on chrome and brass spinners.  We had a delightful early morning start, note the picture, and Julian and Rodney were great at staying with the fish through all the acrobats and dives under the boat.  If you’re reading this, thinking about coming over, now’s the time.  Give me a call at (541) 425-1515.

The Bite is Back on the Lower Rogue

June 7, 2012 | By

The past two weeks have been tough fishing with the water temperature rising to 66 degrees.  But with the storm last weekend and the front moving through today, the water temp has cooled back down to 58-60 degrees and the bite is back on.  A number of boats are seeing 2 -3 fish a day.  If you want to catch a “springer” this is the time to come over and fish.
