Fishing Report for June 19,2016

June 20, 2016 | By

Today was a blessed day on the Rogue.  Maybe they are starting to show up because almost every boat had 1 or 2 fish and had a pull down.  It’s been like this for the last 2 to 3 days and they are getting a few in the bay.  I hope and pray it will pick up and become consistent so that I can repeat today’s performance with you.  I had a wonderful couple from Minnesota and we had such a great time. The weather is nice and cool and it’s a good way to beat the Heat.  So, give me a call and let me see if I can put smiles on your faces like I did with this couple☺

Fishing Report for May 03, 2016

May 4, 2016 | By

The fish are finally starting to show up.  We have had four good days out of 5 in the last week.  The bite started Friday afternoon and Saturday, was off Sunday, on Monday and today for 3 hours the fish came through here on the Rogue.  We had 12 line bumps, 6 bites landed 5 and released 3.  We where able to keep these nice ones at 14lb to 15lb and I’m hoping and praying it will continue.  Today was a lot of fun and wish you were here to share it with me.   Last week it was looking like a poor run of fish but after today, maybe not!

Fishing Report for March 20, 2016

March 24, 2016 | By

Brenda was shaking like a leaf by the time we got it in the net.  It was a beautiful 27-28 pound fish.  Being a wild, we had to release it, but they are here and beautiful.  There was 6 or 7 pound Hatchery fish caught yesterday.  I hope to have one soon.  It’s time to start thinking about booking your Spring trip starting next week. Looking forward to your call!

Well it isn’t a Chinook but it’s a beautiful Steelhead, about nine or ten pounds chrome on chrome bright. Not a bad day so far on the Rogue. They seem to love my bait today. It’s windy and rainy but cozy inside and what a bless day it is!

Fishing on the Rogue is great!  Released 1 and kept 1 so far today.  A friend hooked 12 times yesterday and landed 7.  It’s looking like it will be good for the next 2 weeks and maybe longer, whether permitting.

Fishing Report for October 09, 2015

October 12, 2015 | By

Fishing has been red hot on the Coquille River at Bandon. The season is extending a month later than usual. We still have loads of big Kings in the river and Silvers, which were here in spades last year this time, just beginning to show up. This means we’re expecting the great fishing to continue into next month!
Call (541) 425-1515 to reserve a spot and not miss out on what looks to be an exceptional fall fishing run that could extend all the way into November.

The Coquille was a blast today.  We were blessed with 6 beautiful adults, 2 Silvers and 4 Chinook.  They ranged from 12 lb to 30 lb.  This fishery will last until the heavy rains come, which may not come until the middle of November.  I was off the water by 12:30pm today.  I pray God will continue to bless me like he did today in the photos that follow:

Today was my first day on the Coquille.  We lost one at the boat and had 6 or 7 pull downs that didn’t stay on.  All in all it was a good day with lots of fun.  I have openings 21st on.

Fishing Report for September 26, 2015

The bite was fast and furious Friday morning on the Coos.  We had these bad boys by 8:30am spent the rest of the day chasing the alusive one that stripped two baits off and chewed up three, and we never did get hooked up.  I’ve never lost one under thirty that I know of so maybe this one was a forty pounder.  Now that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
